It's been a little quiet here on the All About Prince page recently. Quiet is not gone, I've just been vexed and frustrated that I missed out seeing Prince and 3rd Eye Girl back in February when they toured in the UK. The band are back in the country next week for Part II of the Hit and Run Tour, and I'm getting a hit of the first show in Birmingham on Thursday 15th May.
I should be bouncing off walls,
squealing with delight, but until my purchased ticket is in my
possession, I can't get too excited (that's just the pessimist I am).
Last week Friday, like thousands of other fans, I was glued to the
computer screen, trembling at 12 PM when ticket retailers put the "golden" tickets up for online sale. My purse strings are short
and many a sacrifice was made in order to get my ticket... but so
what? It's Prince! It's a rare treat for me (last Prince concert I
attended was in 2007) and with Birmingham being a lot closer to home
than London and Manchester, I couldn't afford to miss out on the
opportunity.
With less than a week to go, I'm anxiously eager for my ticket to be delivered. Being hearing impaired and recuperating from a head trauma back in 2010, I'm also nervous about attending this concert alone. No-one amongst my peers and family (apart from my children) appreciate Prince's talent and therefore wouldn't shell out top dollar for a ticket. It's a whole new journey for me, standing strong against my health issues and connecting with the 3rd Eye Girl vibe, LIVE. I'm hoping the 3rd Ear doesn't let me down, praying for a safe journey to and from the event and my seat best have a good view or else I'm going to be seriously p!ssed. (Rumour has it certain retailers were holding out on best tickets at initial point of sale, in order to sell them later, at higher prices). I don't like people messing with my purple aura. I'm fair, honest and just wanna have a good ole' fonky time.

If you're going to any of the UK shows,
enjoy yourselves and I'll be tweeting as much as I can, closer to the
date (15th May).
